I’ve been on the phone to Apple for 2 hours, but they couldn’t help in the end as it’s a third party app. I’ve been into my Dropbox account online and none of my files are on there or on the ‘deleted’ folder. It turns out that those folders were linked to Dropbox and uninstalling the program also removed every single file from my laptop. Very quickly, I realised all of my downloads and documents were gone from my Mac.
